Life changed quickly and dramatically for young Jacob Trzecinski last year when he was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 15.
The promising young soccer player and Manly United FC allrounder was forced to hang up the boots following surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.
But on Christmas Eve last year, Jacob finished his chemo, and was able to return home.
By August, he was well enough to once again take to the field for his beloved Manly United, under a guard of honour formed by the many teammates who’d supported him throughout treatment.
Jacob’s recovery is going well, and he’s now using his fast feet to help others by taking part in Walk4BrainCancer Manly on Sunday, 26 November.
Jacob and his family hope their participation in the community event will help raise much-needed funds and awareness for brain cancer.
