Team Cure Brain Cancer tops Australian Running Festival fundraising tally

Our 12-strong team combined to raise more than $25,000 for vital brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness through fundraising for the Australian Running Festival, the most of any other charity team at the iconic event.

Our team’s incredible $25,000 fundraising haul will help fund ground-breaking research into brain cancer, which kills more children than any other disease, and more adults under 40 than any other cancer.

A total of $192,000 has been raised across 300 different charity teams for the Australian Running Festival so far, a tally that is expected to increase in the coming weeks.

More than 3,000 people competed in the sunshine last Saturday along the 5km and 10km routes, which followed the banks of Lake Burley Griffin and the perimeters of Parliament House in Canberra.

Thank you to our team for your amazing support, and for helping us increase five-year brain cancer survival from 20% to 50% by 2023.
